Ryan grew up in small town Somers, CT and stayed local for college, graduating from Springfield College with a B.S. in Sports Management and is now settled in Marblehead. Before his career in golf took shape Ryan's focus was strictly on the diamond, serving as a high school baseball coach in Tolland, CT for 6 seasons. While coaching he found his start in the club industry working as a bartender and locker room attendant at Springfield Country Club for 7 years, before heading down to the Palencia Club in St. Augustine, FL for one year as an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. Upon returning from Florida and moving up to the greater Boston area in 2012, Ryan ventured into the private restaurant sector, working his way up to General Manager of the Cottage Restaurant in Chestnut Hill, MA. He then returned to his club roots, taking over as Grille Room Manager at Brae Burn Country Club from 2013-2016 and finding his passion for the game of golf on Brae Burn's "Highland's Course." Ryan then re-started his career from ground level by enrolling in the PGA's PGM Program and maneuvering out of the clubhouse operation and into an Assistant Golf Professional position at Oakley Country Club for the 2017 & 2018 seasons. At Oakley, under the tutelage of former Tedesco Assistant Scott Johnson, Ryan worked diligently at becoming a Class-A PGA Professional to which he received full membership in September of 2019 while working his one season at Belmont Country Club. Since joining Tedesco's staff in the 2020 season, Ryan settled in quickly, being promoted to 1st Assistant Professional in 2021. By the end of the 2021 season Ryan was promoted to Interim Head Golf Professional before taking over the role in a full time capacity in August of 2022.
